We’d love to see you at the next Market

Here is some key info. If you have any further questions at all please get in touch!

GETTING THERE

The market operates every 3rd Saturday from 9.00am until 1.00pm at Riddells Creek Primary School (Memorial Drive)

Our Market Map detailing each stall and site location is published on our Facebook page before each market.

Parking is available along Main Road, and behind the market in the Recreation Reserve.

Toilets are located outside the market site: at the Lyons Park and at the Recreation Reserve.

Our Market Manager and volunteers are on site throughout the morning to assist with queries. One of us is always on the gate - just ask!

BASIC MARKET RULES

No vehicles are allowed inside the market.

Dogs must be on a lead. Especially cute dogs (and owners, with permission) might be photographed for our Socials!

At the gate, we ask for a voluntary gold coin donation (or more if you’re feeling generous). All money raised goes to a different community group or project each month which is clearly advertised. These groups are able to do so much good for our local community with your donations funds and we thank you for your support.

WHAT CAN I BUY AT A FARMERS MARKET?

As a Farmers Market, our focus is on primary producers and value-added manufacturers of locally sourced products.

At Riddells Creek Farmers market you’ll find:

  • Produce such as fruit and vegetables, meat, seafood, dairy, eggs, honey, nuts, flowers and plants.

  • Value-added products made from predominantly local produce, such as sausages, cheeses, coffee, biscuits, jams, bread, olive oil, fruit juice or wine.

  • (occasionally) non-food products from their farm, such as leather or wool.

  • Food vans

  • Live music

  • Community groups such as Scouts, the Primary School and Neighbourhood House.

Most (at least 75%) of our stallholders are VFMA accredited. This enables us to maintain a high standard of integrity, providing genuine producers with the opportunity to trade, and gives you confidence that you are buying from authentic farmers and makers.

IS THERE ANY ARTS & CRAFTS?

We do not usually approve stallholders who are on-selling products made by third parties, second hand goods or arts and crafts.

Sometimes we set up a separate Artisans market to encourage local professional craftspeople and artists to display and sell their wares. However this is not our current focus and we are not inviting queries at this time.

We are constantly reviewing our mix of stallholders and keen to provide an experience for patrons that maintains quality and variety of products and stallholders.

If you have any suggestions to improve the market, or would like to get involved, please get in touch.
